511 provides transportation information via a state-of-the-art speech recognition system that allows you to find what you need without pressing a button. Simply say “Traffic,” “Public Transportation,” “Ridesharing,” “Bicycling,” or “more choices” to get started.

Get Real-Time Updates
Say you’re driving and stuck in traffic – call 511 and say “Driving Times” to find out when you’ll arrive at your destination. We’ll also provide information on the incidents on your route.

What if you’re out to dinner in San Francisco and you want to find out when the next Muni light-rail train is coming to catch a ride home? Call 511 and say “Muni” as a shortcut at the Main Menu. Then say “Departure Times.”
